Widgets showing in apps when screen is horizontal

After updating to IOS 14, any apps that I use where I turn the phone horizontally, such as games or YouTube, I have the widgets covering 1/4 of the left side of my screen. Even if I delete the widgets, the search bar for them shows in the same place, covering content on the screen. Any tips?

Hello ToniGann,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

We understand from your post that when you turn your iPhone horizontal to play a game or watch a video the widgets cover part of the screen. Restarting your iPhone and then reinstalling the software may help to remove the widgets from covering your other apps content.
