Safari Reader Mode saves pdf w/too large a font

I've seen other similar questions but thought it worth asking again since a pervious query was a few years back. I like to use the reader mode on some web pages that have a glut of distracting ads. As well, I like to save the article as a pdf. But I can find no way to reduce the obese size of the default font when saving as pdf. It probably ends up somewhere around a 36.

My options are to save/print 12 pages of the website page with all the ads, or 12 pages of the article at gigantic font.

What I'm after is the 4 pages of the article, as pdf and to print if needed.

Is there a tweak to do?

There are no tweakable font settings for reader view in Safari. Copy and paste the reader view content into a Word processing application, adjust font size, and export as PDF. That is the only font control you can accomplish, however the PITA it represents.

Firefox 81 (current) has a reader mode too which is displayed in the address window (shown below in blue). This reader view has a floating panel that allows you to adjust the font size, and document view. You can then print the result to PDF, or save to HTML.

I suggest that you send direct feedback to the Safari product team for a font size feature enhancement.
