My mac won't let me sign in to my icloud account. I have the right password but it ignores it and brings me back to the sign in page.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14

The concept is almost same , the system is corrupted you might not have deleted important files as shown in the link , there could be some other reasons you are not able to sign in with iCloud see these articles also https://support.apple.com/guide/icloud/trouble-signing-in-to-icloudcom-mmfc0f1a3b/icloud
