Requires an internet connection to install macOS

Reinstalling macOS and am getting an error message that an Internet connection is needed. How do I access my Wi-Fi connection?

Are you not connected to or using the internet? If you use email, then you have some kind of connection. The same for using a browser such as Safari. Do not use Wi-Fi to do this download. These files are to large for Wi-Fi and often are corrupted in the download process, then they either do not load or have problems. Connect your computer directly to your router/modem with an Ethernet cable to do the download. If you use a browser for access, use Safari, not Firefox. And do not use the internet during the download. It should take up to an hour more or less. Then installation can take 45 minutes more or less, with several automatic restarts. If you have no internet connection, you will have to take your computer to somewhere where you can connect to it. I hope this is helpful.
