Is it ok to use Apple 10W-12W ipad charger with new Ipad Air 4?

Hi All,

Um just wondering whether I can use 10W or 12W old ipad charger with new Ipad Air 4?

Will it damage battery when charged for long term? or is it safe?

I have also decided to purchase a usb A to usb type c cable to go along with it.

Please tell me your thoughts on this, if its techy, much preferred.

Thank you,

Reason um thinking about using a lower watt charger is, 20W charges which came with my ipad air 4 is brings up some heat to the battery when charging. I want to avoid any damage caused by heat as I want to use my ipad for longer time period without damaging it.

I always charge the ipad up to 85% or below to be safe and not using below 45-50% battery .

Hope this is ok as well , if you can give a feedback :)

Thank you
