iMovie problem after Big Sur update

I'm not longer able to edit my videos with iMovie.

I can't drag the video into the iMovie window(but still able to select the video by "import media") and I can't drag the video from the imported media list to the editing place.

What happened to iMovie?

Hi, Neanfic_K,

Sometimes preferences can be disrupted from an update. Try deleting preferences to get a reset. It is a safe procedure. To delete preferences, open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and select to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects.
