how do I move pics from my flash drive to the cloud using my MacBook Pro

A true neophyte here. Just bought a MacBook Pro and know very little about it. First thing I'd like to do is move all the pics ..video and some docs I have on a flash drive to the cloud. I have the flash drive plugged into the MacBook but where do I go from there?

What cloud storage do you have? If you use iCloud, you get 5 GB for free but must pay for more if you need it.

To move images there, connect your flash drive, open the drive, and also open iCloud Drive (Command-Shift-I) and drag the files from the flash drive to your iCloud drive.
