iOS 14.4 Question

So if I am running on an older version of iOS (11.4) do I need to run this security update? Asking for a friend.

iOS version 14.4 is an entire updated version for someone who is running iOS 11.4. There has to be a reason why your friend is still on iOS version 11.4. Which iPhone does your friend have? If that iPhone is an iPhone 6 or older, then that iPhone cannot be updated to iOS 14.4 any way.
