My Keyboard>Dictation>Languages are set for English (United States) and German (Germany). "New Line" and "Neue Zeile" do not work in the respective language in either Catalina or Big Sur (two different computers. They used to work for me in Mojave. How do I fix?

Thanks! I enabled Voice Control in the Catalina Accessibility Preferences, and it worked for brief tests in Outlook and Word, but it didn't work for typing this response in my browser, nor did it work in Excel. In any case, it will be a huge task to learn so many commands in two languages, and I fear I will never be as productive as I was with Mojave, inadequate though it was. I am eager to use dictation because of a progressive disability in my dominant hand. Can anyone recommend a tutorial?
Cannot help with the language switching, but saying newline as one word, rather than two does work correctly here. So does the statement Press return key. If you change your mind and say, Undo that, it will dutifully hop back to the previous line location.
Right. It worked for me in Office applications, but it wasn't working with my usual browser, Google Chrome. Now I find that it does work with Safari. I had to do a lot of trial and error, and sometimes intervene manually, but I finally got this reply typed as you see it. It certainly is a far cry from what I was able to do very easily with Mojave. 😞
With a little bit of humor, the last time that dictation worked properly for me was when it was called PlainTalk running in classic MacOS on an early 1990's PowerPC Mac.
