Question: whatsapp not restoring backup from the icloud

Did anyone find a solution to this?

In my case, all the whatsapp messages and photos restored but the videos did not.

Upon checking the cloud backups, its size is 2GB which includes the whatsapp videos too but somehow the videos do not restore. It only restores 235Mb which includes messages and photos only.

I have the same problem but mine doesn’t restore anything (not recordings not videos and not photos) I tried to do what the (terrible) whatsapp support website says (turn off icloud drive -> log out icloud -> turn off and on again your iphone -> log in icloud and turn o icloud drive) and it only made it worse. Now it doesn’t even says I have a backup (last date of backup: never).

so as a tip - DON’T USE THE WHATSAPP SUPPORT SOLUTION

Did anyone else found a solution> (whatsapp support also didn’t helped, the just said they can’t do anything :|)

Hello everybody. Does anyone found a solution for this ? I am experiencing the same issue. When I transfer my number to the new one it says back up not found even though I know the back up is in the iCloud drive using my Apple ID sign in.
