HomePod not playing Apple Music

After the recent software update on iPhone my Homepod is not playing the music. When I ask to play the song it says " I did not find the song or singer on Apple Music". I have reset the HomePod and signet from Apple Music but it is still not working.

Is there anything I can do to fix the problem?

Hey there,

I have exactly the same problem. Every time I ask Siri to play a song on the HomePods I get the same message - 'sorry there was a problem with Apple Music'. I've signed in and out. I've deleted the devices and set them up again. Nothing works!

Hi Nikhil Sachdeva,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that your HomePod is having issues finding and playing your music.

Great troubleshooting so far. Do you have a current Apple Music subscription or how were your songs added originally? If you don't have Apple Music, you can still play music from your music library or iTunes purchases. Check out Use Siri to play music or podcasts.

Does this happen with all music or only some songs? What happens if you ask Siri to play songs from your iPhone? That will help to isolate where this occurs.

Take care.
