I am unable to disable the trackpad on my MacBook. Why?

I have a Bluetooth Logitech MX Master 3 mouse connected to my MacBook. I have all of the appropriate settings in accessibility that call to disable the trackpad.

At this point, I'm dumbfounded that the trackpad WON'T STOP RESPONDING. It's distracting and problematic. How do we make this stop?

The trackpad is so **** big that there's no way short of holding my hands in the air away from the pad to NOT touch it while I'm typing. It's infuriating.

FIX IT!

What to Try:

  1. Go to: Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen.
  2. Select: System Preferences
  3. Select: Accessibility Icon
  4. Select: Pointer Control
  5. Check: the "Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present" checkbox
  6. All should be good from there.

Report back if it works.
