Password Help

I am trying install the most recent update for MacBook Air but when I select restart I doesn't accept my password. I have reset my password through two other apple devices and it still does not accept any password. I have even tried creating a recovery key. I restarted my computer and now the home screen is not accepting my password to unlock the computer. Can anyone help me ?

When you mentioned that you reset your password using two other Apple devices, I'm assuming that you're referring to your Apple ID password there. Your Mac login password is separate from (and should be different than) your Apple ID password.
