Read the document 'How to create a bootable installer for macOS' at this link --> https://support.apple.com/HT201372


You'll need to make it a mac OS version that both computers can run, so basically something such as High Sierra or El Capitan. you can upgrade the MBA later if you wish.


You'll need Safari to download the installer file.
