I want to update my iPad to iOS 14

Though omitted, this iPad is likely the 4th generation model (Settings > General > About), and is still running iOS 10, which means that it is too old to update to a newer iOS version.

The next release iOS 11 dropped support for 32-bit processors, including those used in the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, and iPad 4th generation.

There is no hardware upgrade available, only replacement with a newer or new iPad.

Any recent iPad will be substantially more capable than an iPad 4th generation, too.

See Settings > General > About for the specific iPad model.

Post that model.

If you have an iPad 4th generation, there is no upgrade past iOS 10.

Your only option is replacement with a newer or new iPad.

You should do that.
