I keep looking it up and getting directed to https://iforgot.apple.com/password/verify/appleid?r=1&language=US-EN but this link no longer works! I am a Windows user and have been using an iPod since 2010. I got my iPod replaced sometime around 2014 and not looked into getting a new iPod since.

The problem is I forgot the answers to my security questions. I am 100% not up for that anymore. The links do not help at all. My password contains a special character that is no longer available to type on an iPod, the asterisk- * I am not able to even contact Apple support properly.

If you forgot the Apple ID password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option if necessary. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.
You can type special characters from the keyboard. When using the keyboard, tap on "123" lower left. You'll then see a symbols replace the shift key. Tap on those symbols for symbols such as the asterisk.
DISREGARD MY PREVIOUS POST. I was hasty in my frustration (something that happens a LOT).
