Why can't I play imported library content on Apple TV?

Please help me to understand why I cannot see my TV App library content (imported items) on the Apple TV without the computer open? Why can't it work like the Music App?

We're paying for an Apple One subscription, but frankly, I don't see the advantage of it other than the Music that is. We have purchased a few TV Shows and Movies over the years, but I would really like to be able to watch the content that I have imported to the TV App without having to have the Macbook on!!

I know that I am not the only one complaining about this...

For Home Sharing, the Computers app is the way to access files on a networked computer.

To access files without having the computer on, those files would have to reside somewhere else as well.

For your own home videos, you may store videos in iCloud. iCloud videos can be accessed through the Photos app.

We're paying for an Apple One subscription

The site clearly explains what services go with that bundle. You can change to just Apple Music if you don’t care for the other services.
