address book missing some data

I have entered data into my address book, bring the contact back up and either the contact is no longer in the book or some of the data is missing. How can I fix this problem?

Mojave (10.14.2)

MacMini 2018

Mac mini 2018 or later

I only know 2 reasons for this...


Flaky syncing to other devices.

Disk Corruption.


Start with this...


Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.


Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
