Updating software during the quick start .

Should I update software during the quick start transfer from old iphone to new? During the transferring the new iPhone is requesting the latest update. Could that affect the data?

Thanks for reaching out about updating your iPhone during the setup process. We can help with this. Updating the software during this time is optional and won't effect the data in the backup. You can do it now or after you restore the backup. It's up to you.
