Photos library does not show any photos but they are showing they are in photos from share photos.

When I open photos none of my photos are there.

I share photos with my Apple TV connected to my tv via air play.

When I do - system preference - sharing - media sharing and home sharing ticked - choose and all my photo folders are there are there. At the ‘ share photos from’ at the top - it’s has the photos app.

yet if I open photos app it looks like a brand new app never had photos in it.

How can I get my photos back into photos?

You are opening an empty library, not the one with your photos in (probably the system library)


Hold down the option key while starting photos, select the system library and click "choose library"
