This only tells you how to create a Hide my email email address - not how to set it up in mail so you can use it for an email. I have used this feature in a web site and it worked well.

Apple - please provide information as to how to set up an account in mail with a randomised email address. Thanks

That’s how it is designed to work. It is not meant for you to create an email account to use regularly. It generates ants down email for each web service instead of using your own email address.

You’d have to contact Apple for that request. This forum is for users to provide technical support to other users. We don’t work for, nor have any contact with Apple.

So, I've created an email address to set up an account. Now I contacted their support for some issues, they sent an email to the hide my email address I created. How do I then send back a reply using that address? Is that automatic when I hit reply? Because the email address indicated in the "from" field is my real email address. If I can only generate these addresses to receive emails and not to send, then I'd then be exposing my real email address anyway when I need to contact them for issues.

update:

never mind, tried it and when you reply to an email, it automatically uses the hide my email address it was sent to.
