Can't find a setting to have app "remember" either episode or place in episode I've watched. I have to remember what episode I'm on, go there, then FF and Rew until I find where I left off!
Even the free app like FilmRise manage this feature!

Re-access shows through the Up Next queue list in the Watch Now tab of the Apple TV app, while being signed in to the app with your Apple ID account. That would use your watch progress to resume where you left off.

This doesn’t work. It’s super frustrating. The Roku app NEVER remembers where I left off in a show. They always start from the beginning. Very irritating.
I am having this same issue on a 65” TCL Roku TV. It never remembers where I left off. Always starts from the beginning.
