I'm trying to sign in to my apple id in my device and it prompts for authentication code but the mobile number I use in receiving codes is no longer available.

I'm trying to sign in to my apple id in my device and it prompts for authentication code but the mobile number I use in receiving codes is no longer available. Hence, I cannot enter a code.

What should I do?

I know my Apple ID and password but after entering those details it prompts for an authentication code that is being sent to the mobile number which is no longer available.

To see how to 'Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication', click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT204974

- Use a Trusted Device: Mac, iPhone, iPad, Watch. Code is either generated automatically or manually using Settings on the Trusted Device.

- Text or phone call to a trusted telephone number (also landlines).

- Get a code from an Account Recovery Contact --> https://support.apple.com/HT212513

- Instructions at the end about what to do if you cannot get a code and need to use account recovery.

If you lack a way to view a verification code but can still log into your Apple Account, add a way. "You can manage your trusted phone numbers, trusted devices, and other account information from your Apple ID account page." --> https://appleid.apple.com/

From: https://support.apple.com/HT204915

If you have no available trusted devices or numbers, and cannot sign into your account (such as when you have a forgotten password) to add a way to get a verification code, read:

How to use account recovery when you can’t reset your Apple ID password - https://support.apple.com/HT204921

"The fastest and easiest way to reset your password is from an Apple device. Before you start the account recovery waiting period, try to reset your forgotten password on a trusted device. Or borrow a friend or family member’s iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and use the Find My iPhone app to reset your password. You can even visit an Apple Store and ask to use a device on site."

the thing is i signed out from my apple account on my iphone a few days ago. hence. when i'm trying to sign in now after entering both apple id and password, it asks for an authentication code which in turn i cannot view or have since that number is lost now.

i tried iforgot. apple but when i try to sign on my laptop, it asks for authentication code again which i cannot give like i mentioned since the mobile number to where the authentication codes are being sent is gone now.

I also tried using "Apple Support" app via my friends iPAD but a message is appearing saying too many codes have been sent to the mobile number (w/c like i mentioned is already lost).

iforgot is only if you have forgotten a password or Apple ID. To sign in on a new device you must also enter a verification code which you get from a trusted device. Your old device is not providing this and if you try to get one sent too many times Apple will block you from repeatedly trying. You need to add a new trusted device. That's what my first response was all about. If you cannot add a trusted device because you cannot log into your account with icloud.com then you need to contact Apple.

I'm trying to sign in to my apple id in my device and it prompts for authentication code but the mobile number I use in receiving codes is no longer available.
