Received a concerning message

just received a message on my iPad that my Apple ID and phone number are being used for iMessage on a new iPhone I don’t know of a new iPhone it would be using it please help and advise

who is besides my self is using my info on messenger?

if you use their appleID manage page Manage and use your Apple ID - Apple Support


then you can see if you are just being targeted by phishing attacks

Identify legitimate emails from the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support

and

Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support (IE)


if new devices have been added then remove them, change your password

and enable Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support

I got the same message on all devices except my iPad tonight, saying that my Apple ID and phone number were being used on a new iPad. Since there isn't any new iPad listed on my Apple ID, I have Two-Factor Authentication enabled and the message didn't appear on my iPad, I'm assuming that - for some reason - my iPad has just re-registered itself for iMessage.

It might be that Apple is currently doing some behind-the-scenes work on fixing iMessage registrations that can cause this message...
