iMessage photo syncing on Mac

Hello, How can I prevent iMessages from keeping a local save of the photos/videos sent to me on iMessage to my Macbook? Thanks!

Hi there Ezaruka,

We'd like to help answer your question by providing the steps to use iCloud instead to sync your messages: Use Messages in iCloud

This will not only save messages across your devices, but it'll update them as you use them on each device. Deleting a text message from one device will delete them from all devices using the same Apple ID for iCloud Messages.
