Touch Bar Emoji's response ??

Howzit Everyone trust this message finds you all well.......Everytime I now write something and go to insert an emoji from my Touch Bar, the emoji disappears and a "x" appears , I then only have the option of right clicking and inserting emoji's that way, which to be honest is a pain in the ol' proverbial, how do I fix this ??

Ive already did the system preferences, keyboard tab, and allow pop ups but still it does the same, only after I do a shut down and restart MacBook does the emoji's work then all of a sudden it starts doing it again.

Is there an easy fix for this please, any help would be greatly appreciated

thank you

Dale

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

Yours is not the first report I have read here...

I know of no direct resolve.

I suspect a point up date to the macOS 12.0.1 will address the issue.

While we wait—

you can file a bug report using the same link as here: Apple Feedback https://www.apple.com/feedback/macos.html

The alternative is the key short cut to access emoji - Control Command Spacebar
