Mac Mini and Dell P2419H monitor

i have just taken my new Mac Mini out of the box and connected it to a Dell P2419H monitor using a HDMI cable but the Mac doesnt seem to be displaying anything, what can i do?

Thank you for your reply, once I actually plugged the usb mouse into the MacMini it brought up the installation sequence. I now have the Mini up and running and the display is amazing. Especially after speNding 9 years gazing into a 13” MacBook Pro.

Try:

using the power button to shut off and restart the Mac Mini

using a Premium Certified HDMI cable. (under 5 feet long if possible)

going to the Dells on-screen display menu and make sure HDMI is selected


Side notes:

you can also use a USB-C to HDMI adapter and HDMI cable

or a USB-C to DisplayPort cable to the Dells DisplayPort input
