Hallo,

is it possible to zoom in and out on a picture while being in slideshow mode in Keynote?

Yes, zoom is available when Keynote is in Play

Option 1

Go to: Apple Menu /System Preferences /Accessibility /Zoom: ensure Use keyboard shortcuts is ticked

then: Apple Menu /Keyboard /Shortcuts /Accessibility: provide keyboard commands for Zoom in and Zoom out

Option 2

Apply an Action to the image using the scale effect
