Logic board issue although Flexgate symptoms

Hi guys,

I'm experiencing the Flexgate symptoms (e.g., stage light, display turned off if lid opened beyond certain angle), which is covered by Apple Repair program. However, Apple Repair Center determined that it is because of logic board, not because of Flexgate. Now Apple asked me to pay for logic board replacement or get the laptop returned as-is. I feel that this can be a loop hole to avoid responsibility for the parts under repair program. What options do we have? Please suggest.

Thanks,

spc
