In that case, you can run the current MacOS 12 Monterey.

From your Terminal.app see if a Safari update is listed, copy and paste:

sudo softwareupdate -l


You can download and install, copy and paste:

sudo softwareupdate -i -a




(note: your psswd will not echo on screen, type it in anyway, use the return/enter key to proceed.)

Safari is bundled with macOS. To update Safari, update to the latest compatible version of macOS (using System Preferences -> Software Update, or the Updates pane in the App Store).


If Safari still can't connect to websites, that version might not be receiving any more updates. In that case, you should use a third-party web browser, such as Firefox.
