freeze more than 5 columns in numbers. Ideally not make them headers either.

How do I freeze more than 5 columns? I don't want to make them headers either but it doesn't matter that much. It needs to be able to be sent to someone who operates excel and back to me again too

5 is the limit.

As you probably have discovered Numbers and Excel have design differences.

In Excel you typically work in one big grid of cells. Being able to freeze areas can be important.

In Numbers you typically work with smaller tables, often several on the same sheet.

If you have to collaborate frequently with others who use Excel then you may need to consider using Excel too. It runs well on the Mac.

Excellent cheers. Yes I have read that before, I was hoping that there was an update or perhaps if enough people ask, they might bump the limit up to 10! (which would probably be too many for most projects but I guess there would always be the odd requirement).

Ill need to look into the smaller tables, but multiple on same sheet. I have never done this before, though I doubt it'll work in my case.

But yes I think you're right, just getting excel would solve my issues, especially when the file is being shared to someone who has only ever used excel!
