One drive shows contents unavailable in Files app on iPad

Hi all,

I have been using files app which is connected to two different OneDrive account fine for past few months on an iPad Pro 12 2021. Past few weeks I get the error message of content unavailable for both accounts.

the same two accounts work fine on iPhone 12 Pro files app.

I deleted and reinstalled both OneDrive and Files which resulted for working few minutes and going back to the error message.

any idea on the solution?

Im using third part file manager now and tbh it works e trembly fine but since the file is embedded into OS any time I want to open or attach a file directly in an app I will have to deal with this problem.

Thanks

Hi thanks for reply.

Yes all accounts are correct on both devices. The file limits hasn’t been reached I even try to reduce the number of files further down but didn’t seem to have any effect.

I tried some of the steps suggested in the post (uninstalling and reinstalling one drive & etc.) apart from resetting the iPad itself. Non of them worked.

I feel that resetting the iPad might resolve the issue however since its my business device and its lot of hassle to do so and after a 1 or 2 get back where I am now.

Hence I try to find other solutions other than resetting the device. And leave that as last resort.

Hi wm177,

Have you checked all your account information is signed in correctly and matches what is found on your iPhone? If so, previous posts suggest there may be a file limit when working with OneDrive for folders containing content with over 50 items. The previous post here has details and helpful suggestions: Onedrive Content Unavailable in iPad Files app

Additionally, there are posts on the Microsoft Support page that may help below.
