How did the screen become black? Is there anything that happened to the phone before the screen went black? Can you hear the names of buttons when you click on the screen?
As you answer these questions, try force restart your iPhone X :
Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
