disapearing number file

I created a number spread but it disappeared upon saving it. I couldn't find it anywhere.

Launch Numbers again and view File menu > Open Recent… the top most item in that sub-menu will be the last saved file. Select that and see if it will open for you.

Click the Spotlight icon 🔍 in the menu extras area and enter the following to locate .numbers spreadsheets created after April 1:

kind:numbers created:>04/01/2022

Press and hold the ⌘-key to see the file location. Press ⌘+R to open a Finder window with the Numbers file selected.

Press return once to see the spreadsheet displayed in the Spotlight preview window. Press return again to open the spreadsheet in Numbers.
