Delete / Reinstall Mac Mail?

my Mac Mail app has lost its connections to my ISP server

it will not recognise username/password to my email accounts


I have loaded Thunderbird and this connects OK


Is it possible to delete/reinstall Mac Mail to see if this resolves the issue?

A - No


A - The Mail Application is built into the Operating System. As such, it can neither be deleted nor Reinstalled.


A - The only exception would required the User to boot into Recovery Mode and choose the Re-Install the Operating System
