Up Next stopped updating for no reason

The Up Next section has stopped updating about a week or so ago. It still shows new seasons of shows that are coming out but no longer updates to reflect shows that I have watched, for all apps except Apple TV+. I have not changed any settings recently and have been unable to find any useful ways to resolve this. I am able to manually mark episodes as watched in the Apple TV app but they don’t update automatically.


Settings -> Apps -> TV -> Top Shelf is set to Up Next, but I see the same issue in the Apple TV app as well. (I also see the issue in the app on my iPad, though I do not use that to watch anything, just the Apple TV itself.) I have tried rebooting the Apple TV and updating everything I can think of.


All apps appear to be connected to Apple TV, as they have been for some time now. I’m not sure what else I can try, but I am open to any recommendations. I very much do not want to do anything that would cause Apple TV to lose my history, but this also makes using the Apple TV quite a bit more painful than it used to be.

I fully recognize that this is incredibly unhelpful for anyone hoping for an answer, but the problem resolved itself tonight without me doing anything whatsoever.
