login failed mail mac 12.5

Monterey upgraded to 12.5 (21G72) and Mail showed 'Login failed' when my Macbook rebooted. My Gmail account still works on webmail and my iPhone and says I'm logged in. How do I get Mail to recognise I'm logged in?

Sorry the issue persists but do not use Google e-Mail - personal preferences.

Is Apple Mail using POP or IMAP configurations ?

Certain Applications maybe available on the Apple Apps Store - this only means the Developer is prepared to pay Apple a portion on each sale. What the Application may do to the computer is up to the User to check this out before purchase

Any of the below should be removed as per Developers Instructions

This will include CleanMyMac , This will include BitDefender

This will included Norton Antivirus , Sophos Av Software

Intego AntiVirus, McAfee, MacKeeper, Avast AntiVirus

Ad Guard, Webroot , ESET , Avira

The The Built in Security  is all that is required.

Yes, it's still a problem. I went to Internet Accounts and selected Google, which showed this message -

Google requires completing authentication in your web browser.

After authentication, set-up will continue in Internet Accounts.

After authentication I got this message -

This account already exists.

You are already signed into the account

Mail still shows 'Login failed'.
