Music w no subscription

How can I use iTunes / Apple music w no subscription. AND still buy music once in a while? Feels like I'm being forced to a subscription.... Currently running Monterey 12.4 on 2017 MacBookPro. TY!!

You don't need a subscription to buy songs. This should help.
