Thank you Michael for your very informative reply. I think I may well have to ‘bite the bullet’ & put up with my iPad’s ageing ailments & wait for it to finally fail. As I’m 82 myself with a few disabilities your suggestion whilst being a sensible answer is unfortunately not practical for me. Thank you again for taking the trouble to reply.

When I did that even the Apple logo juddered/vibrated rapidly so I’ve closed it for now & reverted to iPhone but needless to say I’m not at all impressed with Apple they seem to have become totally uninterested in customers’ problems & really on the ball with profits.

Thank you anyway for trying to help.

I have had no issues with my nearly 6-year old iPad Pro with recently upgrading/updating and I upgraded/updated to iPadOS 15.6.1 from iPadOS 14.8, from nearly a full year ago.

Do you know how much internal, free data storage space is left inside of your iPad Mini 4?

If less than 2 GBs of free, internal data storage space left inside of that iPad, all sorts of OS operational issues can happen.

Also, your iPad may have develiped a hardware issue that just maybe coincidentally concided with your upgrading to iPadOS 15.6.

An iPad Mini 4 is a nearly 7-year old computing device.

Anything we mere mortal human beings make is no where near perfect and can fail or glitch at any time, for any reason.

It is not a matter of “IF“ some item will fail, but “WHEN”!

In that event, I’d advise you use/tap the “Get Support” link found at the far upper right hand corner of every Apple Support Community Web page and attempt to make an appointment with your nearest “local” Apple Store location to have your iPad fully diagnosed and options presented to you.

Best of Luck to You!
