Allow finger to swipe from corner toggles back on its own.

Finger swipe from corner really makes the usage of my ipad a pain. I tried to untoggle it but something really weird is happening. I click it, it goes grey, then I go back to settings, and when I go back to gestures, ITS ON AGAIN. I Dont understand if it has to do with some other setting I am using but I have tried a couple of things over in accesibility and none of it worked.

Hello Pautorgom,

It sounds as though you're attempting to disable Allow Finger to Swipe From Corner in Settings > Gestures on your iPad, but the setting enables automatically. If so, have you restarted your iPad Pro by following the steps listed below? If not, follow these steps then attempt to disable the feature. While restarting is a simple step, it can be very useful in resolving issues.

  1. "Press and hold either volume button and the top button until the power off slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
  3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo."

Restart your iPad

If you continue to have issues after restarting your iPad, you'll want to make sure you're running the latest iPadOS. The steps for updating are outlined in the article below.

Hey Pautorgom,

Thanks for trying those steps.

We'd like to clarify what's happening.

Are you going to Settings > Control Center to disable the swipe down access for Control Center within apps?

After you turn this within app access off, which app are you having the issue with seeing it still being able to access the Control Center with the swipe down?

This page goes over the various advanced gestures:

Quickly access controls. Swipe down from the top-right corner to open Control Center; touch and hold a control to reveal more options. To add or remove controls, go to Settings  > Control Center. See Use and customize Control Center on iPad.

Take care!
