My iPad was stolen and added to another Apple ID with Find My iPhone link

How can I unlock my iPad because the babysitter used find my iPhone to link it to their Apple ID. And they will not remove it from their account or tell me what the password is or anything. What in the world am I gonna do????

Getting Into a Hacked Device:

They need to sign out of it. There's nothing else that can be done. So, contact them, and then have them use this link, including the iCloud log out, prior to giving it to you: What to do before you Sell, Give Away, or Trade In your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

The only way anyone could associate your iPad with their AppleID and their Find My is if they had your iPad in their own hands, were able to go into settings on that iPad and sign your AppleID out of iCloud (requiring knowing your AppleID password to do so), and then entered their own AppleID into iCloud on your device.


So did you give them your iPad and your AppleID password? If so, why would you do that?

OK! Thank you everybody it’s not actually my iPad or my problem at all…… My young friend would certainly not have given out her Apple ID I just didn’t know the steps that would be required to be able to go into somebody’s device and change things to make it become their own. I was just trying to help :-) :-) :-) she’s a busy young single mom and I am none of those! Thank you everybody for caring :-)
