iOS 16 calendar bug/ issue

Recently whenever I click into an event that I’ve created with invitees, the RSVP responses changes to “no response” (i.e. question mark) immediately even if they have previously responded. And invites are sent out again to all invitees.

So it annoys every invitee every time I want to check the details of the events. This does not happen to my MacBook but only iPhone.

Anyone else having this same issue? Please help!

I found that it only happened when an event is added with a location. (Also happened with some of my friends’ iPhone.) I contacted Apple Support and even erased the iPhone (without restoring with backup) as instructed. And the bug is still there using my own or a new Apple ID.

Apple support replied me that they have reported the case to engineer and asked me to wait for the next software update. I suggest you to contact them as well (but do not reset iPhone as they always instructs us to. That doesn’t fix the problem) so that they know the bug is affecting many people.

Update: The bug still happens even after erasing iPhone and tried with a completely new AppleID. But turns out it only happens in events added with a location. Still don't know how to fix it.
