Sign in in APPLE TV NOT WORKING AND WE PURCHASED BULLET TRAIN BUT APPLE TV DEVICE WONT PLAY IT.

Apple TV (gen 2 or 3) wont accept my Apple ID or password and at same time I get sent a code on my iPhone but there is nowhere to enter the code because by then the bloody AppleTV has already rejected my attempt to sign it. I note that we have a second Apple TV (think gen 3) that does accept my App;e ID and password without issue. So what the frig is going on>

And we purchased Bullet Train from the ITunes Store three days again on the 3 Gen Apple TV device but the device will not play it. I have down;load it to my iPhone and can play it on there, but cannot stream it to the TV via the Apple TV. WHat is going on and how do I get some assistance from Apple re the issue with the mob=vie. I am really over these products right now and feel like throughing them all off a cliff and being done with Apple.

If you have an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) and two-factor authentication for your Apple ID, then you may be asked to type your password followed by the six-digit verification code directly into the password field. Additionally, there is a time limit, after which the code becomes invalid.

Try this: First enter the characters of your password (do not submit yet), then manually request a new verification code, then append that code to the password (no spaces or other separating characters), and then submit. That should help you get passed the time limit.

Agreed, in the past I was able to do this but for some reason now as of November 2022, no combination of this works on the 2nd Gen Apple TV.

I do the PW+Verifcation Code and get "Failed"

I do the PW then get a second screen that is JUST the code, I enter what comes up on my phone and get "Failed"

I tried doing the PW+That code again and still fail.

Is there something I'm not doing correctly? This seems like a new problem.

Also, I re-logged in to iTunes with the PW+Code and it worked first time, just no working on iCloud login.
