MacBook air

I was sold a MacBook Air and the previous owner gave me the wrong password for the admin account. What can I do to fix this? On the guest account there are a lot of restrictions that’s why I was needing to know how or if it’s possible to by pass the passcode for the admin account. I wouldn’t mind even factor resetting it… but I dunno if that’s possible or if that would even work. Thank you!!!

Never purchase from a stranger because it could possibly be stolen and no one has the ability to override the security measures.

Apple values your privacy and has safeguards in place to ensure that no one can access the device.

You will need to reach out to the owner because it is the owner’s responsibility to properly erase the device before selling it.

Until then, it is locked. 🔐
