Hey there AOZNana,

Whenever you try to update your Mac, are you prompted to enter your Mac login password, your Apple ID password, or something else?

If you're being prompted for an Apple ID password, make sure you're entering the password for the Apple ID currently signed in on your Mac. Use these steps to see which Apple ID is signed in:

On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click [your name] at the top of the sidebar.

If you see the wrong Apple ID, choose to sign out, then sign in with the correct account: Sign in or out of your Apple ID on Mac - Apple Support

If you need help with something else, please provide more specifics about what's going on.

Take care!
