Got a brand new iPhone 14 pro max, IOS 16.2. When somebody emails me, the badge on my mail app goes up. But I never get the notification, on lock screen, while using it. nothing
my mail notifications are all correct, tried to restart iphone. And when I got this pohne, I set it up as brand new phone, not transfer from my old iphone 7

We suggest double-checking to make sure all notification options are set up as needed, per this article: Set email notifications on iPhone
"Change your Mail notification settings
> Mail > Notifications, then make sure that Allow Notifications is on.You can set times when you want to allow notifications from the Mail app. See Change notification settings"
