Apple TV 4K connected to TV Vs AV receiver

Hi! I have an Apple TV 4K and enjoy the user interface. I want to use the Apple TV to stream music to my audio system. I want to make sure that I’m getting the best audio quality to my 2 channel stereo speaker system. My television is a smart TV with HDMI 2.1 and my AV receiver is HDMI 2.0a. I have the latest 48GBIT HDMI cables. I’m not sure whether to connect the Apple TV 4K to my TV or to the receiver to get the best audio quality to my speakers. I really hope the answer is to the TV because I really like how I can control the TV and Apple TV together. Please help! Thank you!

For stereo audio, you’ll get the best audio quality either way. No difference. It is bit for bit the same signal.
