Mac Photos won’t export location data

I can export location data from Photos on iPad, but not Mac! Please fix this!

How are you exporting your photos? Have the location data been manually added in Photos or has they been added by the camera?

And have you already enabled the checkmark "Sharing: Include location information" in the Photos > Settings > General tab?

Manually added location data will only be added, if you export the adjusted versions with "File > export > Export ... photos", not if you export the unmodified originals. And enable the checkmark to include the location data win the export dialog:

If you still are not seeing the location information, try to export in a different format, for example "photo kind: TIFF". I remember, that on some system versions the locations have nor been exported jpegs. With the current version of Ventura it is working for me also for JPEGs.
