Logic MIDI not triggering VST audio during playback.

Hey everyone,

I've recently encountered an issue I've never had before in my years of using Logic. When playing on my MIDI keyboard, it does not trigger any audio playback on the instrument I have selected. No audio levels increase in the mixer during playback; even though at the top of the screen it displays the correct MIDI in information being received (notes, chords, etc). Yes, my instrument tracks are all set to stereo-out, and I have tried changing the MIDI channel from "all" to "1" and still have the same issue. This also applies to every single instrument in the project. Both stock VSTs and external plugins are not giving me audio playback. I even tried creating new instrument tracks for the **** of it and they have the same issue. I've unplugged the keyboard and plugged it back in, re-opened logic, rebooted my mac, and the issue persists. What's even more strange is I only experience this issue in this ONE project I'm working on, which is actually an alternative of the original. I've opened my other logic projects and gone to the original version of this track and I can actually play the instruments and simultaneously hear the audio. So I've clearly made some sort of change with just this ONE track in particular; but I'm not sure what. If someone knows what's going on PLEASE let me know as I would love to continue working on this track, especially with how long I've been working on this specific alternative.

Tried that and it didn't work. I've also rebooted logic as well as my mac and the problem persists. I mean luckily I'm done with the track and this happened when I was working on vocals; but this makes me worried for the future. Like I would hate to be in the middle of producing a track and then all of a sudden I can't finish it you know? Trying to figure out to avoid / resolve this problem if and when it shows up again. Does anyone else have any ideas as to what else it could be? I think I accidentally turned a setting on / off somehow.
