HELP I have the new MacBook Air M2 and I just bought the usb c to SD card reader for downloading photos off my camera. I didn’t realise the ports were thunderbolt/usb4. before I open the box will it work. I can’t even see an updated apple version for this to work?

TB ports makes no difference. As long as your reader has a USB-C connection it will work fine.
